Profile, language, currency, and notification settings
Use IVOTIA settings to control notification delivery, real-time alerts, app language, display currency, spoken languages on your profile, and saved addresses.
Updated: 2026-06-05
Before you start
IVOTIA currently splits these controls across two account areas: Account > Settings and Account > Profile.
Account > Settings is where you manage notification delivery, real-time alerts, app language, and display currency.
Account > Profile is where you manage personal profile details, spoken languages on your profile, and saved addresses.
Manage notification preferences
The settings page lets you decide which updates IVOTIA can send by email and which it can send as push notifications on supported devices.
The current settings screen includes notification rows for Order messages, Order updates, Rating reminders, Account updates, and Promotions & offers.
- 1Open Account > Settings.
- 2Review each notification row.
- 3Turn Email on or off where available.
- 4Turn Push on or off where available.
- 5Select Update Preferences if the page shows unsaved changes.
Real-time and push notifications
IVOTIA also has a Real-time notifications section for in-app alerts while you are online. You can control whether real-time notifications are enabled and whether they play a sound.
Push notifications depend on browser support and device permission. If push is not yet enabled, IVOTIA may ask you to allow notifications in your browser before it can subscribe this device.
The settings page also includes a Test Notification action so you can confirm that push delivery works on the current device.
- 1Real-time notifications can be turned on or off.
- 2Sound effects can be turned on or off separately.
- 3Push notifications require browser permission.
- 4Some browsers or devices may not support push notifications fully.
Change app language and display currency
IVOTIA currently supports English, French, and Swahili as app-language options.
The app also supports a broad display-currency list, including KES, UGX, TZS, RWF, ZMW, MWK, ZAR, NGN, GHS, XOF, XAF, USD, and EUR.
You can change language and currency from the full Account > Settings page, and IVOTIA also exposes quick language and currency controls in the global preference modal and navigation flows.
When you are signed in, IVOTIA stores these regional preferences on your account. IVOTIA also keeps local browser state such as language storage and currency cookies so the site can load your preferred view faster.
- 1Open Account > Settings to choose a different app language.
- 2Choose a different display currency if you want prices shown in another supported currency.
- 3If you are signed in, IVOTIA syncs these regional preferences to your account.
- 4If you are browsing as a guest, IVOTIA can still remember currency or language locally in the current browser.
Manage spoken languages on your profile
The Profile page has a separate spoken-languages section that is different from the app-language setting.
This section is used to show which languages you speak on your IVOTIA profile. Each entry has a language name and a proficiency level such as native, fluent, conversational, or basic.
- 1Open Account > Profile.
- 2Add a language name such as English or French.
- 3Choose the proficiency level.
- 4Select Add.
- 5Remove a language later if you no longer want it shown on your profile.
Saved addresses and profile details
Your Profile page is also where IVOTIA keeps personal details such as your name, bio, username state, profile photo, and saved delivery or location addresses.
The current profile page allows up to 5 saved addresses. You can add, edit, and remove addresses from that area.
Email and phone verification follow their own dedicated flows and are best handled through the account-specific articles for those topics.
Important things to know
- 1Language and currency are regional display preferences. They do not automatically change every operational rule on the platform.
- 2Changing display currency affects what you see across the platform, but payment-method availability at checkout can still depend on the active checkout flow and supported currency for that payment provider.
- 3Even if you turn off promotional messages, IVOTIA can still send essential security, verification, and transactional messages when they are necessary for your account or orders.
- 4Push notifications are device-specific. If you switch browsers or devices, you may need to enable them again on the new device.
- 5If a notification setting, language, or currency change does not appear immediately, refresh the page and confirm that you are signed in before assuming the preference failed to save.
