How to reset your password
Use the forgot-password flow to request a reset link, open the secure link from your email, and create a new IVOTIA password.
Disclaimer: This article covers the current IVOTIA password-reset flow for email-and-password accounts. If you usually sign in with Google, you may not need to reset a separate IVOTIA password unless you have already added one.

Before you start
Use this flow if you cannot remember the password for your IVOTIA account and need to set a new one.
The reset flow starts from the Forgot password page and sends a secure reset link to the email address you enter.
For security, IVOTIA shows a neutral success message even when no matching account is found. That means you may see a success response even if the email is not registered.
Request a reset link
Open the Reset your password page from the login flow.
Enter the email address linked to your IVOTIA account, complete the verification captcha, and select Send reset link.
If the request is accepted, IVOTIA shows Reset link sent. and sends a password-reset email if an account matches that address.
- 1Go to the login page and choose Forgot password.
- 2Enter your account email address.
- 3Complete the verification captcha.
- 4Select Send reset link.
- 5Check your inbox, spam, and junk folders for the email.
Open the email and verify the link
The reset email contains a secure link that takes you to the password-reset page.
The link currently expires after about 1 hour. If the token is missing, invalid, or expired, IVOTIA shows Reset link expired and asks you to request a new one.
Use the newest reset email if you have requested more than one link.
Create a new password
After IVOTIA verifies the token, the reset page shows the masked email address for the account and asks you to create a new password.
Your new password must be at least 8 characters long, and the confirmation field must match exactly before the form can be submitted.
- 1Enter a new password.
- 2Re-enter the same password in Confirm password.
- 3Select Reset password to save the change.
- 4After a successful reset, IVOTIA redirects you back to the login page.
Important things to know
- 1The reset link only works for the email address tied to the account.
- 2If the email does not arrive, check spam or junk before requesting another one.
- 3The request page can temporarily show a retry timer after sending a reset link, so you may need to wait briefly before sending another request.
- 4If you signed in with Google and never created a separate IVOTIA password, try Continue with Google first before using the reset flow.
- 5If the reset link keeps failing, request a new one instead of reusing an older email.
